In an article I read by Brian Tracy on priorities, Brian referred to a 1970s book by sociologist Dr. Edward Banfield of Harvard University. The book entitled The Unheavenly City discusses one of the most profound studies on success and priority setting ever conducted. Banfield discovered that attitude played a more important role in happiness and success than did education and family history.

Kingdom living calls us to rise above the pettiness of daily irritations. Getting it together and keeping it together is one of the great challenges of day to day living. Do Christians handle daily stresses better than those who have no faith? If we do, why is that? If we don’t, then why not? Our faith and Christ’s example calls us to a higher standard. Beginning this Sunday we will being examining the day to day experiences that can become our greatest witness for faith.
