a New Heritage Helping Ministry

With the help of Larry and Judy Stinson, New Heritage has launching a new helping ministry.  This ministry is designed to collect donations of furniture and other household goods from our family and other interested parties. These donations will be stored in a self-storage unit until a need is found. Fires, water damage, losses from storms, newly divorced individuals, and students are just some who might benefit.

      While the Stinsons will coordinate this ministry we can all be resources for donations and occasional help in pick up and delivery. Donations of furniture and small appliances are needed along with funds to pay rent on storage.

S.O.S. Has Special Needs

Just a few months ago we started Sharing Our Stuff and filled a mini-warehouse with furniture and household items.  The word got out and God has given us the opportunity to help many families.  Now the warehouse is empty and we're still receiving requests.  We need to get the word out that we need furniture . . . especially beds.  Spread the word, look through your own "stuff" and see what you can live without so we can help some of these folks.  Check out the garage sales, talk to your neighbors, talk to your friends in other communities of faith and see if they can help spread the word.

As a result of our recent Leadership retreat, New Heritage has increased its networking with several Collin County helping agencies.  This involvement has increased the number of request we've been receiving from people who need household items.  We are particularly receiving a lot of requests for beds.  If you have any beds, especially twin beds and/or beds for children.
